By law all houses must have at least one smoke detector. Many homes have hard wired smoke detectors, but these detectors also need battery back up. In the event of a fire, you may lose power to your house and smoke detectors. The battery back up will activate your smoke alarm when there is no power. Smoke detector batteries MUST be changed annually to ensure that your family is always protected.

Join our VIP Program today. Silver membership is FREE and we will send you one 9V battery and a reminder to change your battery and test your smoke alarm. If you have more than one smoke detector in your home, you can join our VIP program for a low monthly or annual cost. Your batteries will be posted to you once a year. As long as your membership is active, we will take care of reminding you when to change your batteries and send them straight to your door. You can rely on Australian Professional Electrical Services to protect your family in the event of a fire.

Our platinum VIP membership is $9.97 per month and is available to SA residents. This membership includes an annual safety inspection which includes testing of all your smoke detectors. While we are there, we will replace your smoke detector batteries. A small price to pay to protect your family.

Description of Membership benefits

Welcome pack

Includes confirmation of your membership status and details, essential information about Australian Professional Electrical Services and a fridge magnet. For Gold and Platinum members your welcome pack will include your joining credit and refer a friend credit.

Smoke detector batteries

On joining the VIP program, members nominate which month they would like their batteries posted to them annually. Gold membership nominates the number of smoke detectors (up to a maximum of 4) in the home, reflecting the number of batteries to be posted. Platinum membership batteries are supplied at the time of the annual safety inspection when all smoke detectors are tested.

Quarterly specials

Australian Professional Electrical Services offer quarterly product and service offers exclusively for our VIP members. Platinum members receive pre-release notification of these specials and the option of advance ordering.

Refer a friend credit

Refer a friend to our services and on completion of your friend's work, you will receive an additional credit of 5% off labour costs of your next job. This credit is valid for 6 months from the time of completion of your friends job.

VIP loyalty discounts

5% and 10% discount (off labour costs) is given to our gold and platinum members respectively

Joining credit

On joining the VIP program we will reward you with a once off joining credit of $10 for gold membership and $20 for platinum membership to be used off the labour costs of your next job (this credit cannot be used for safety inspections). The joining credit must be used within 6 months.
